Are you a Broker that is confused when looking at your app versus your web browser? 


Brokers are responsible for creating jobs, dispatching operators for each job, keeping track of each job, and reviewing their jobs.


The Iron Sheepdog platform has created a "hybrid broker" term that means that a Broker is also an Owner Operator, owning and dispatching out their own trucks.




Iron Sheepdog was created as a Platform, and from our platform we have created an app.


Our app is utilized by the haulers that are on the road and need an easy access to the platform, this is the Iron Sheepdog app. 


As a broker, because of the many features available to you on the platform, you are only able to access your Broker platform via the WEB BROWSER. 


If you are a broker that owns their own trucks, and has an owner operator profile, this means you are able to dispatch out your trucks to your employees, and you have an Owner operator platform, that is available to you through the app. 


Below is the Toggle in the platform that is located in the top right corner of your browser, that indicates what platform you are viewing: you can select these toggles to be taken to either your Broker or owner operator profile/platform. 

 

*It is important to note that Brokers who do not own their own trucks/do not have an Owner operator account, will have this toggle. *


Please follow the instructions in the rest of this article so that we can make the rest of your platform experience as easy as possible.



We understand that this can be tricky when dealing with a mobile device. It is important to understand that when you are using the app, you are "viewing as Owner operator" and when you are on the web browser, you are "Viewing as Broker". Below is a screen shot of the app version in a brokers profile. 

To be taken to your "view as Broker" profile, select the Iron Sheepdog logo, at the bottom of your menu. This will take you directly to the web browser, and to your Broker platform view. Example below:

When you are on the web browser, you will see the View in App button. If you select this button, you will be taken back to the app, which will take you back into the Owner operator platform view. You can select the

 X

 and then select

YES

 to dismiss this message forever so that it is not too confusing. 




*It is Important to note that when you are inviting a NEW user that is not an "employee" (or driver) for your Owner Operator company. You MUST invite them under your Broker platform view, this can be found in the web browser, not the app.*

When you invite a new Company you must set their company name as a new company by typing out a full (correct) new company name, and inviting them under your Broker profile on the platform web browser. If you are "viewing as owner operator," you will only have the option to invite a user as a Owner operator/Employee, in a web browser. 

In the app, when you select Invite user, you are under your Owner Operator, and you can ONLY invite users as an Employee(driver). 

This employee will only show up under your owner operator profile. You will need to reinvite the user if they need to have a role other than employee. To do this you must use their same email, set their new company name/or add them to an existing company, and add them as the correct role, and you MUST be under your Web browser/under the Broker platform view.
