Welcome to the Iron Sheepdog platform! Not sure what role you or a colleague should be or have access to in the Iron Sheepdog platform? Here is an article to help you understand the role of "Client Accounting" so that you and your company can utilize the platform as efficiently and affectively as possible!


Are you the "money man" or the "numbers guy" in the office? Do you deal with the finances and don't really need to be involved with the dispatching or tracking of the haulers and jobs?....

We have just the role for you!

In the Client roles there is a Client Accountant who can be invited to directly deal with the Invoices on a daily/weekly basis. In this article we will describe and explain what the responsibilities and capabilities that the Client Accountant has so that they can best utilize the Iron Sheepdog Platform.



Here are the Capabilities of the Client Accounting administrator role:

The Client accounting's menu bar: as an administrator the Accountant has access to the garage and the Invites in order to mange the Client members, if needed, as well as the Trucks, if needed.



The most important functions within the Iron Sheepdog platform for the Client Accountant is the Profile and Invoices tabs. The Profile tab can be found underneath your username above the menu.


Select the Edit Profile phrase to be taken to the Profile screen and manage all that is needed.



Notification Settings:

Company information: 

This is where the Client Executive would fill out the information about the company.

Within the Company information page there are multiple important functions, including the W-9 and COI upload/download- which is needed to run on the platform- as well as all of the users within the company and their profile information (only those invited as ADMINISTRATOR can have access to these capabilities)


And lastly the most important information for Client Accountant is the INVOICE SETTINGS page. This is where you can manage where and to whom the invoices are sent.



Invoices Tab: This tab allows you to view all of the current and past invoices.


Another feature within this tab is the VIEW INVOICE feature, which allows you to view the current invoices and the jobs that are not APPROVED yet. It is important to note that each task/job does has a 24-hour auto-approval process in the app. If there is a job in dispute it will appear at the bottom of the invoice, not included in the total.



There are multiple functions available within the Invoices tab, including the Print icon which allows you to either print the invoice or save as PDF.

Another function is the EXPORT to EXCEL which allows you to export all of the invoice information to an excel spreadsheet, if needed. 

The VIEWS drop down allows for multiple views or totals to be displayed, if needed.




Jobs that are still in progress or in dispute will appear below the total in the NOT APPROVED section.


Finally, the REPORTS TAB, allows for the Client accountant to see what each job made, as well as the DBE jobs and the cost codes.
