Welcome to Iron Sheepdog! We understand that technology can be difficult to understand at first, so here is an article to help you understand the more specific features that Iron Sheepdog offers.
Broker- What does that mean?
Users with 'BROKER: Co-owner / Admin / Employee, etc.' role have the following capabilities:
- Create and edit Jobs
- Assign Operators for a Job *DISPATCH*
- Make Withdrawals
- Follow Operator's position in real-time *track haulers using breadcrumbs*
- Generate Invoices
- Associate Paver Sites with Tracking Devices
- Invite Users from other Companies
- Create and edit Projects
Brokers are responsible for creating jobs and dispatching haulers for each job. As we have come to understand the role of brokers, we have categorized this as a "middle man" between the Haulers and the Client. The Client gives the broker the job information and the broker assigns haulers to the job. The significance of the Broker role is to ensure that the job is done effectively and efficiently. We are excited to be able to provide Iron Sheepdog as a tool for Brokers to do their most effective and efficient work.
*Only an Iron Sheepdog Representative, or another Broker can invite a Broker to the platform*
Why should I use Iron Sheepdog if I am a broker?
Iron Sheepdog's goal is to improve the short haul trucking industry by integrating technology as a primary tool. We have created Iron Sheepdog as a tool in order to assist with organization, and communication efficiency. Iron Sheepdog is an app that can be accessed on any mobile device such as an iPhone, Android, and other portable smart devices, as well as on a desktop computer or laptop. If you are a broker and need help organizing your jobs, assigning trucks to your jobs and cannot stay organized or effective just with your paper and pencil that you are managing with now, Iron Sheepdog is the perfect solution for you! Sign in and access all of your drivers and clients, as well as each job, invoice and earnings, just by opening the Iron Sheepdog app! We are excited to work with you and provide our services for all of your short haul trucking needs!
